DESCRIPTION:Date/time: August 29-31\, 2025\, 8:00am-5:00pm daily \nLocation: Edgecombe Community College\, Rocky Mount Campus \nHosted by: Edgecombe Community College \nContact: Danny Butler\, butlerd@edgecombe.edu\, 252-618-6607 \nRegistration link: http://www.edgecombe.edu/continuing-education/continuing-education-application/ \nRegistration fee: $70 (waived for affiliated NC FR/EMS/Sworn LEO) \nThis training course is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all emergency responders\, veterinary professionals\, animal control\, equine and livestock owners\, and anyone who may someday be involved in or be on-scene of a large animal related incident. Operations level training objectives: incident management\, large animal behavior/handling\, relocation techniques for ambulatory and down animals\, safety considerations\, simple vertical lift techniques\, mud/water/trench/ice rescue considerations\, barn fire prevention and response\, transport incident response\, natural disaster preparedness and response\, basic and specialized equipment\, resource allocation\, medical management and field euthanasia considerations. \nThe course meets and exceeds FEMA Type 1 Large Animal Rescue Standards for USAR TF. \n24 credit hours are approved for veterinary professionals licensed in North Carolina. \nCourse Instructors: 4Hooves Large Animal Services\, LLC (owners Justin and Tori McLeod\, along with their team members\, are subject matter experts and have long-standing careers in emergency services\, been involved with the equine and livestock industry\, and provided large animal technical rescue emergency response and training for more than two decades)
